The album celebrates the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Stirling Bridge (on 11th September, 1997) and the reawakening of the 'Spirit of Freedom' in the Scottish nation by that great patriot, Sir William Wallace. This time we've included not only music from Scotland and Ireland but also from two other Celtic nations, Brittany, and Asturias in Northern Spain

We have a DVD featuring The Band playing some of the music from their albums. The DVD is narrated and sung by the late Bill McCue, one of Scotland's finest singers. He is accompanied by Fergus's wife Francesca Wood, who also features as a solo artist. Ron Gonnella plays the fiddle and the DVD also features The Caledonian Heritage Pipes and Drums. The DVD is set in The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park and shows some of the splendour of this most scenic area including some fine aerial photography of the Lochs, Mountains and Stirling Castle.
